Scientia Militaria: South African Journal of Military Studies accepts original articles addressing topics in defence, security, and military studies, utilising either a discipline-based or interdisciplinary research methodology. Submissions should generally range between 7,000 and 10,000 words, inclusive of endnotes, graphs, tables, and other supplementary materials. Authors adapting manuscripts from theses or dissertations must ensure these are extensively revised to meet the journal’s standards.
