Abstract

Reeds geruime tyd voordat, in Oktober 1899, die Tweede Anglo-Boereoorlog met geweld sou losbars, is - met die Jamesoninval as 'n skeidslyn - deur die twee Boererepublieke die nodige militere maatreels getref om 'n moontlike militere botsing die hoof te kan bied.
